Karina primarily focuses on family law and estate litigation, including family provision applications. She understands that these areas of law often involve significant personal and family circumstances and takes a practical, considered and people-focused approach to helping clients navigate what can be difficult times.
Karina grew up in Bathurst. Following high school, she completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a Bachelor of Laws and is the second generation of the Oakley family to work with King Cain.
Prior to entering law Karina pursued a career in retail management leading some of the highest performing retail stores in the in the greater Sydney region and across the country. This experience developed skills in understanding financial reports and dealing with issues experienced by business owners and operators in the commercial sector.
Karina has been an active Army Reservist for more than nine years, holding a leadership role, enabling her to remain calm. focused and methodical in high stress environments.
Outside of work you will find her at the gym, out running – rarely missing a Parkrun – tending to the family apiary or generally making the most of being out and about in the sunshine.
She is always ready for a chat and partial to a leisurely lunch or dinner.
