• Power of Attorney

Who do you trust to act on your behalf when you no longer can

It’s important to have someone you trust take control of your financial affairs when you are no longer able to do so. This is called a Power of Attorney.

A Power of Attorney is a legal document whereby you appoint an individual or trustee organisation to manage your financial affairs whilst you are still alive.

A Power of Attorney can be appointed to manage your financial affairs when you either do not wish to manage them yourself or are not able to do so due to illness or accident.

In determining what you would like your Power of Attorney to do on your behalf you be as prescriptive as you wish. In other words you can set it up so they can manage all of your affairs or restrict it so they can only manage a limited number of your financial matters. The choice is yours.
